The CTI Accelerator Program (CAP) is a specialized Business and Creative Film Intensive specifically designed to ‘accelerate’ emerging filmmakers by helping them to prepare and pitch their projects to prospective funders in a short period of time. We hold accelerators in collaboration with different organisations and companies around the world, where participants are exposed to CaribbeanTales’ unique process.

Under the guiding hand of experienced industry professionals, the CTI Accelerator offers participants a great overview and guide on how to create the basis of story, marketing, pitching and financing. The winner of each CTI Accelerator Program will automatically be shortlisted and will have an opportunity to compete for a place on The Market Incubator Program. Our inaugural year launches this program in the following countries:

  • CineFAM Accelerator – Africa (May 2017)
  • Animation Accelerator ~ Canada (January 2017)
  • CTI Accelerator ~ Cuba (May 2016)

It was a life-changing experience for me. I think differently, I understand the industry and I am not lost anymore. I feel like the hero with a thousand faces of the Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth. Through the CaribbeanTales Incubator, I descended into Hell and I am now a reborn creator with a clear vision and the right tools for success.

Regardless of your level of expertise, the workshops are an excellent venue to hone your craft. The mentors really push you to go further so to get those pitches as concise and catchy as possible. It helps to get ideas and comments from other people which serve as a springboard to actual pitches.

Michael Mosca – Producer – Equinoxe Films

There was a sense of camaraderie that we experienced near the end of the workshops when we really started to help each other out with tips and moral support before and after the Big Pitch.

The whole process made us also connect with old and new filmmakers and contacts back at home and revived a project we wanted to do for a long time.
